KISO 501 ALU-BUTYL is an aluminium foil with a rubber based extruded and self-adhesive butyl sealing strip.

Surface preparation: |
All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from dust, grease and loose materials. Propan-2-ol is recommended for cleaning (smooth surfaces). Make sure the surface is allowed to dry prior to application of the butyl sealant strip. Porous surfaces should be pre-treated with a suitable primer. |

KISO 501 ALU-BUTYL is supplied as an aluminium foil with a preformed butyl tape on a HDPE foil.

Properties
KISO 501 ALU-BUTYL is a rubber based extruded and self-adhesive butyl tape with aluminium foil. The butyl has highly sticky properties
The aluminium foil means excellent properties for usage in the open, and makes the product tear resistant
Outstanding aging properties, as the aluminium foil covers the butyl which allows almost unlimited applications when sealing tasks are at hand
The aluminium foil is 5 mm wider than the nominal width of the butyl
Very good adhesion to a wide range of substrates including metal, glass, wood and concrete
Water absorption is negligible
Non-hardening, remains flexible throughout service life
