KISO 512 FLEECE-BUTYL is a rubber based extruded and self-adhesive butyl laminated with a polypropylene based non-woven, supplied as strip or pipe collar.

Application

Surface preparation: |
All surfaces should be clean, dry and free from dust, grease and loose materials. Propan-2-ol is recommended for cleaning (smooth surfaces). Make sure the surface is allowed to dry prior to application of the butyl sealant strip. Porous surfaces should be pre-treated with a suitable primer. |

Properties
KISO 512 FLEECE-BUTYL is a rubber based extruded and self-adhesive butyl laminated with a polypropylene based non-woven, supplied as strip or pipe collar. The butyl has highly sticky properties.
The fleece is 5 mm wider than the nominal width of the butyl.
KISO 512 FLEECE-BUTYL can be supplied with overlapping silicone paper for a 2 step and easier application along corners (width of 75 mm or more)
Very good adhesion to a wide range of substrates including metal, glass, wood and concrete
Water absorption is negligible
The butyl is non-hardening, remains flexible throughout service life
